W4W Bush Retreat
Walking4Warriors are working towards developing a Bush Retreat on a natural bush property which backs onto the Eurimbula National Park in the Turkey Beach area. The goal for this retreat is to provide our community members a place to come and stay for free and experience the natural scenic environment, where they can relax, heal and just enjoy being in the outdoors. One of the key natural therapies to help battle mental illness is the opportunity to spend time in nature, and what better way to spend that time then relaxing and walking through the W4W Bush Retreat. Walking through nature has proved to be a very effective tool in battling mental illness.
We believe that by establishing our Bush Retreat in the Turkey Beach area we have the perfect opportunity to support our community by providing a safe and healthy environment for natural healing and a focus on well-being. W4W has taken inspiration from Veteran retreats around Australia to create our own Bush retreat. The biggest difference between W4W Bush Retreat and many of the Veteran owned organisations is that we are committed to supporting all of our Warrior community members and not just one demographic.
This is the newest endeavour of Walking4Warriors and will compliment the existing community work we are already providing.
